We used this one time and it broke. The glass is too thin for this application. Don't waste your money - buy one of the non-breakable, stainless French presses

Hard to Find Size Looks Sturdier Than my Last One

This replacement carafe (beaker) is perfect for the mid sized french press that doesn't seem to be offered anywhere anymore. It is slightly larger than the last replacement carafe that I had.Yes they do break. Most of them are relatively thin glass.This carafe seems to be thicker than my last one, which held up through 5 years of my daughter handling it roughly in the dishwasher and me microwaving water in it hundreds of times a year to brew my coffee.It is labeled 6-Cup; they mean 6 small coffee cups, not 6 8oz cups. It holds about 3 1/2 8 oz cups or 800ml. I can get three of my tall bistro-sized cups out of it. - Thicker than Bodum Brand - 800ml or 3.5 cups - Fair PriceI will update if it doesn't hold up.

I love coffee brewed in glass. It washes well, but you must be careful that nothing bumps into it in the sink or dishwasher
